Jane Sickle Revisited by the Antique Club– Doris Gage-West
Some of the Antique Club ladies have decided to make their own heirloom quilt, either large or wall size, replicating the varied blocks found in the book Dear Jane by Brenda Papadakis. Hand or machine piecing and appliqué as well as paper piecing techniques…The method will be your choice. Or, if you have any old/or antique blocks and need ideas of what to do with them, come and play!

This fall I’ve decided to offer a bag a month using Cindy Taylor Oates book – “Easy to Make Totes with Zippers”. We will make a variety of bags with and without zippers, half in the fall, half in the winter.

Smocked Dress Quilt Block Class –
Lisa Scalia
In this class, you will make a 14" quilt block with an adorable smocked dress. This class is mostly a handwork class which will cover preparing the smocked dress, applying trim, pleating, very basic English smocking, and hand applique of the dress to the block. A sewing machine is required for some of the construction. You will complete a block suitable for a pillow, wallhanging, or to frame; or, make more at home to create a gorgeous child's quilt!

This easy to make pillow/ottoman would be great in a sewing room, extra seating in a dorm room or a story time cushion in a kid’s room. Not so much stuffing – makes a dog bed.

Machine Stippling and Meandering

You will learn traditional stippling, several meandering designs, and outline quilting. This class is a continuation of Introduction to Machine Quilting, and it assumes a knowledge of the basics of tools, fabric, batting and thread presented in that class.

There are many beautiful fabrics that, when cut and layered together, will make a beautiful flower wreath. The wreath can be made out of any seasonal fabric that has the look of real flowers or shells. You need to have a frame with you so you can make your masterpiece any size you want. If you make one for a gift, your friend will be amazed at your creativity.
